The Gropius House ★★★★

Sleep inside the canon. A studio residence in the shadow of the Bauhaus building itself, furnished exclusively with pieces from the school's workshops.

A house rather than a property, and it behaves like one.

Public rooms carry the character: a lobby people sit in, a bar that locals use, and a courtyard that catches the afternoon. Service is warm without hovering.

Ask about the back room; it is not hidden, only quiet.

You will find it in Dessau, Germany. Check the listing before travelling; times move with the season.
